Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiSystem is a comprehensive software design suite that enables users to plan, test, and simulate optical links in the transmission layer of modern optical networks.
OptiSPICE is the first circuit design software for analysis of integrated circuits including interactions of optical and electronic components. It allows for the design and simulation of opto-electronic circuits at the transistor level, from laser drivers to transimpedance amplifiers, optical interconnects and electronic equalizers.
OptiFDTD is a powerful, highly integrated, and user friendly CAD environment that enables the design and simulation of advanced passive and non-linear photonic components.
OptiBPM is a comprehensive CAD environment used for the design of complex optical waveguides. Perform guiding, coupling, switching, splitting, multiplexing, and demultiplexing of optical signals in photonic devices.
OptiFiber The optimal design of a given optical communication system depends directly on the choice of fiber parameters. OptiFiber uses numerical mode solvers and other models specialized to fibers for calculating dispersion, losses, birefringence, and PMD.
Emerging as a de facto standard over the last decade, OptiGrating has delivered powerful and user friendly design software for modeling integrated and fiber optic devices that incorporate optical gratings.
OptiConverge is a collaborative integration framework that seamlessly combines two or more Optiwave products (e.g., OptiSystem, OptiSPICE, OptiFDTD, etc.) and other third party products into unified solutions. Designed to streamline complex workflows, it empowers users to achieve their goals faster by harnessing the collective power of our trusted Optiwave tools.

Hi Vignes,
I am trying silicon oxide grating on silicon substrate in 3D. but in 3D simulations, there is no crosscut view type option to see the field pattern or farfield which we can do in 2D. and for titled input reflection and trasnmission is not making much sense to me .
if you have any idea
thanks,
Perveen
Hi Saurav,
did you get the photonic crystal in slab problem solved, I tried the same paper triangular lattice parameters but not getting the bandgap same as in the paper, please let me know if you were able to reproduce the bandgap from reference.
thanks,
Perveen.
Hi there, I am getting a lot of negative absorption (r+t>1). I changed the size and positions of the input but its still not working. can someone please help me. files are attached
Hi Damien,
I need your help with this layout simple thin film on si substrate with input at 45 deg. for some reasons I am getting negative absorption.
attached is the layout and plot.
thanks,
Perveen.
also I am trying to get trial version of fdtd 12, but coz my email is already on your system, its not accepting my request. can you please help me with that too. thank you very much.
Hi Damian,
I am also working on the same kind of structure, but your this file cannot open in fdtd 9.0. can you please upload a similar version for fdtd 9.0
thanks,
Perveen.
Hi Damian,
I am trying to use plane wave input at 45 deg. but I feel that won’t cover my whole layout, is there any way to compensate for that, or can I move the center of input to at one end of x intsead of x=0.
thanks,
Perveen.
