Advanced Photonics examines multiple aspects of propagation (both linear and nonlinear) in fibers; the construction of fibers and fiber structures specialized for various applications including sensing, nonlinear propagation, new fiber materials and fiber/light coupling. The meeting on Sensors addresses the construction and performance of optical sensing techniques and devices, including fiber sensors, laser and imaging sensors, chemical, biological and medical probes, and terahertz sensors. Finally, Nonlinear Photonics will involve novel nonlinear materials and structures, as well as nonlinear photonic devices and systems.
